Hi There
Has anyone used a MUI30 to monitor the voltage / current / capacity of a receiver battery?
Is there any reason the sensor couldn't be used for this purpose?
Thanks in advance

Hello Keith,
I am using the MUI30 to monitor my single LiPo cell, which is used to power my glow driver for my 5 glow plug Saito radial. The main reason is to be sure that the cell will not come under the critical 3 V. The nice side effect is to see the amount of Amperage (up to 14 A!) and to know how much current is left in the battery (Capacity).
So the MUI should work with the receiver battery as you intend to use it. The only thing is that you have to do some soldering to get this MUI in line with the battery / switch / receiver. Have you considered using an Infoswitch from SM-modellbau.de. This gives you the information you are looking for and can be used directly between battery and receiver (no soldering and additional electronic equipment that can fail). The only disadvantage is that you do not get the information during flight on your telemetry display in the dc-16.
Greetings
Horst
