Having programmed 10 multi-flap (4 flaps and more) gliders by now, I get a bit annoyed every time about the cumbersome flap differential. If the flaps are mixed in as aileron support (flaperon), they can only be differentiated via the mixer curve. It would be much easier for the user if the flaps could also be set with percentage values under the menu item aileron differential when a multi-flap glider is set in the basic configuration menu. After all, flaperons do not behave much differently from ailerons.

I am currently „standing in front of“ the same issue. Wanting the flaperon differential proportional to a knob for setup-flights, the manual adjustment via mixing curve is cumbersome. Or is there an easy workaround?

I found a workaround using only one additional mixer, omitting the Aileron Differential menu:

- Set up a free mix, Ail to Ail, 3-point curve, -100% - 0% - -100%
- Make it proportional to a knob if you like to adjust the differential „on the fly“ for e.g. setup flights

-> This differentiates your ailerons. So far the same as with the menu Aileron Differential.

- Set the mix to „Slave link“
- Set your Aileron to Flaps mix(ers) to „Master link“.

-> Now also the flaps are differentiated.

Once you found your correct diff. values, just set the Ail to Ail mixer to a constant gain (%).

It seems not many had an issue with it, but maybe this helps for those who have.
