+1 on the request!
Since TX Firmware V5, Jeti opened up hardware interfaces on the motherboard, including serial input/output. I have adapted a bluetooth UART from Adafruit in the US (it's a hobbyist packaging of the Nordic Semiconductor BLE module). I also have it mounted on the back of the TX case in a 3D printed plastic box. On the DS-24 it fits nicely between the "handles" on the back.
I have a lua app running on the TX that sends the telemetry data out on the serial interface to the bluetooth module and I have an iOS app that runs on an iPad for monitoring the data.
One issue to be solved is how to get the wire out of the case ...
I got some 4-conductor micro cable from a friend in the wire business and it comes out of the case through one of the screw holes on the back .. it's pretty clean for an aftermarket hack

Clearly this is for DIY/experimenter types only but it shows what is possible! I do wish Jeti would consider putting it in officially.
