Hi Team,
I am close to buy a new RC system for my >15 glider portfolio as I unfortunately need to change away from weatronic over time. One important thing for me as glider pilot is to have a wireless audio connection to a simple inear headset (e.g Plantronics M70). To have a quite short reaction time especially on using vario a low latency is needed (e.g aptx-ll codec). My new remote control should support this without any external BT xmitter needed. Unfortunaltely I saw that even your high end product does not support any BT transmission to a headset - I can't believe. Even FrSky does support this with their new X20. But - to be honest - I like to buy quality and for that reason I want to change to Jeti. But this will only happen if the system fulfills my needs - and for now the LL BT transimmsion is missing. Can you give me any perspective to get this delivered by you in the next time?
Best regards Markus

+1 on the request!
Since TX Firmware V5, Jeti opened up hardware interfaces on the motherboard, including serial input/output. I have adapted a bluetooth UART from Adafruit in the US (it's a hobbyist packaging of the Nordic Semiconductor BLE module). I also have it mounted on the back of the TX case in a 3D printed plastic box. On the DS-24 it fits nicely between the "handles" on the back.
I have a lua app running on the TX that sends the telemetry data out on the serial interface to the bluetooth module and I have an iOS app that runs on an iPad for monitoring the data.
One issue to be solved is how to get the wire out of the case ...
I got some 4-conductor micro cable from a friend in the wire business and it comes out of the case through one of the screw holes on the back .. it's pretty clean for an aftermarket hack
Clearly this is for DIY/experimenter types only but it shows what is possible! I do wish Jeti would consider putting it in officially.
Contact me if you have further interest.
Dave
