Something wrong with MVario J-MV 2.4EX ?

Hello,
the Easystar has very long "high current" motor cables because of its exposed motor position.
So my assumption is that your MVario signal is distorted not by the air pressure changes but by EMC (electromagnetic noise), caused by the motor wiring. The Mvario has (in its original setup) two connection wires to the receiver which could act well as "antenna" and make it even worse... How close are the MVario cables to your motor power cables in your Easystar?
Just check if the signal is OK if you increase the distance between the MVario and its cables and the motor power cables...
Regards,
Henning

Hi Henning,
That is a good idea. The distance is only 1 to 2 cm. So i will try your advise.
Thanks

Hi Wim, I just saw your telemetric data with the vario signal disturbed while the motor is powered up, most likely due to EMC influences. If the problem isn't solved with a wider distance between motor and vario wires, try to weave the cables (separated strings for motor and vario cables!), this will reduce the EMC sensitivity. Another option is to use ferrit cores with the wires winded around a few times.
Have you already tried to lift up the model/vario manually (with the motor switched off!)...?

Hi Ecstacy,
Yes i did the experiment.
Therefore a put the Vario parameters very narrow: Dead zone on 0.1 m/s and Range to 2.0 meter.
it looks good, when i take the aircraft upstairs....
so the problem will have something to do with some disturbance in the aircraft.
I will test that in a few days, when we have better wether here.
I will do that test in a glider with a wingspan of 2.2 m.
i can dive that aircraft and than pull it up to win some altitude.....
and then carfully listening.
So folks, thank you very much for your attention and help.
It is very nice, to discover people do help eachother!!!
I will report my experiments here
Wim
