I think you are not doing anything wrong. Some receivers are quite picky about the serial speed. Original is 9700 bad which usually works fine with REX and R receivers.

Attached is 9600 and 9800 baud versions, I would guess 9600 works best with R9. Please test and report back :)

Thx Tero for you very fast reply!

Only not to go on the wrong way I would like to inform you that I also have the phenomen with another REX10 receiver also. Could it the same reason with this receiver too?

Cheers

I now tested both versions. With 9600 the sensor will not recognized on the transmitter and with 9800 the RPM value resultats are more worse as with the original 9700 version. Same behavior with the REX 10 receiver..

Any more guesses :-)?

Thx

When using REX-receiver try also E1/E2 ports. The EXT is a bit different from E1/E2. I wish all would work the same (R, REX EXT/E1/E2) but they don't :(

All libraries do not work with all types of sensors so it's a bit tricky. A universal library with receiver-handshake would be the best :)

Thx Tero fro you comment. I now tested a original Arduino board to make sure that it does not depend on the board type I use. Unfortunately same behaviour. I know there are different libraries out there. Which one did you use/tested with your code? I was a programmer in my early live (30 years ago ;-)) and may can check the different libraries with your code.

I am moving to Sepp's true EX-library just for these reasons. Conversion is a bit slow, all the menu's etc needs to be rebuilt. Also there is the eternal question about Arduino's interrupts, some sensors might not be convertable.

As now, all the sensors are working with some serial speed. I know it's not ideal. Everything was fine before REX came :D
