Yes, just a message box, and then I restore the value (switch) which it has been before, so he has to do it again. But normally that isn't a big deal. As I mentioned it maybe with the self returning switches, you have hold them until you press "ok"
I know it isn't the perfect solution or what you expected, but it works quite well, and saved me a lot of time to assign every switch again and again.

I just incorporated your code into a new app I am building (to display fancy instrument panels with gauges) and it works just as you described ... so I must say you are a genius!
My habit in assigning switches with the Jeti menu is to click it to set, and then click it back .. since I usually don't want to have the effect as soon as it is assigned. But you do reliably detect that as an error for your approach, and I suppose I can learn to change my behavior. I do hope Jeti improves things for us with the addition to getSwitch info so this won't be necessary.
I'll attach a screenshot .. the gauges are from a drag and drop interface using a web interface. My son (who is a professional sw dev) did a website for me that creates sets of google maps images for my maps app and delivers each pilot the Maps app with his/her own images based on a unique code, and still uses Jeti studio. We are using the same approach here. It won't compete with what you and folks like K&T are doing with dense info displays and it won't be "full custom" like a one of a kind image created by a high-end graphics program. It fits somewhere in the middle...

Hi Dave,
I'm glad to hear that it finally works!
You are doing a lot of nice stuff and I appreciate that!
I built the GPS Sensor from Tero S. and it works quite well and I know your map app and I have already installed it, unfortunatly I did just a few flights with the Jet who has the GPS Sensor built in, so I wasn't able to use the app, but maybe next year. I couldn't believe that this is possible with Jeti and lua.
