it's an really interesting discussion we have !!! Thanks for your Inputs. Yes you're right with your 5 golden rules!!! Everyone should take care!
We have different workflows and different views to the sources but does not matter, the results we aim are same! Just this makes it exciting and interesting. That's open source development how I like it
Let's continue like that, I think we're on the right way and of course we're GO for Lua scripting / programming.
Another interesting point are the users. In my opinion it's the wrong way to keep them out of development cause they are the main pillar, the foundation! They deliver most ideas, hits and so the features for the apps and they doing a really perfect final test! A good teamwork between developers and users is absolutely necessary for a good final result!
With kind regards

and providing the .LUA and not only the compiled version is IMHO the only way.
every developer can see exactly what and why and help do debug and optimize if necessary, new develpers can learn best practice from the seniors ... and as in the global discussion on everything these days, transaprency is a benefit for all. ... my2cents

I see no point in sharing a lua-app without the source-code. I'd go so far to say it's stupid
We are still in learning-stage on the whole lua-thing with Jeti. Jetimodel is adding interesting new things to lua (for example already in 4.26) that at least I like a lot. And Iäm very sure they will add more. But there's a catch here, we need to say what we need! There's a few functions in there that are done after we users told that it would be nice to have.
I'm still pointing out about the source-code. Make it available, others can learn from it, others can check it. There's always several ways to do the same thing and some dev's like one way, some like the other. And opinions on what is better do vary Byt that's what dev & open-source is about!
