Primary flightmode’s and assist flightmode’s

Sorry but my deutsch is very bad.
I have a couple of questions regarding the set-up. This is my second assist (12a).
I have installed the assist in a turbine jet.
I use 3 “primary” flight modes (start-landing-cruise). I’m not interested in heading hold, so I programmed and coupled to the primary FM, the 3 “assist flightmode’s” all in damping mode, so I can adjust the gain’s in all flight modes individually.
Via a different switch I can switch on/off the gyro.
All seems to work like I want but here is the thing. Due to flaps and crow mix (elevator compensation, etc), I have to use digital trims on “separate”.
Sticks calibration is only for ALL “assist flightmodes”, so when I switch between flightmode’s, I get a new neutral compared to gyro off. This is ofcourse not ok. Also when I select landing mode (ailerons go up due to crow), assist seems to see this as a “stick input”. Ofcourse it isn’t.
I can image this happens in HH due to trim changes and mixers. But I have only programmed damping modes. Anyone has any idea? Thanks!

this problem with different positions of the rudders at assist on / off at different stick positions (1/3 or full range) have already been found by some pilots in Glider mode.
You can minimize this difference if you change the "Roll rate" under "Acro mode settings) by trying.
For a jet I had found the following values:
Only an example.
............................................................Default value / optimized value
Max. Turning rate transversal .........................300 ° / s 350 ° / s
Max. Rate of turn height .................................300 ° / s 300 ° / s
Max. Rotation rate .........................................180 ° / s 600 ° / s
With these values, there was no difference between Assis ON / OFF. You have to try it again and again. I hope it's just a way to help you.
With the model type Glider (Select Option -> Glider (dynamic) we were able to minimize the different rudder positions (Assist ON / Off) even with Butterfly function.
So I could turn ON or OFF the Assist (only in damping mode) in any position of the model in flight.
Why that is so, I can't say it. But it works.
Let's wait for an update or more information in the next few weeks.

Thank you for your explanation. I will experiment with your settings tomorrow. There is definitely some SW bugs still in the assist system.
I have found another one. In function assignment I made a function "nose wheel steering" coupled to the rudder(stick). This function has a separate trim for the nose wheel. When gyro off, the trim as it should be, affects only the nose wheel steering. When gyro on, the rudder is affected to. Very strange.

Hello Bernd and other.
So far still no luck with the set-up in a jet model.
I tried your suggestions and with roll rate from 300degree/s to 500degree/sec, the ailerons did not jump from gyro off to damping mode (with sticks neutral)
But on pitch I didn't get it right.
I'm still convinced "Assist" don't look at stick position somehow as when I go to "landing mode" (flaps down, crow up and elevator compensation), you can see different values in primary channel assignment with the stick in neutral!!
I'm very scared to fly my jet with this receiver. I love my Jeti products but the Assist receivers are the worst designed products so far.
I have now disabled "assist" completely. Is this save to fly and does the Rex12 assist as a "normal" rex12? Or is it better to remove receiver completely and install the "old 12 rex" back?
Help is very much appreciated.
Thanks guys!

If you use only the damping mode, you should get the Assist settings well.
It is only important that when switching the damping mode on and off at any stick position, all rudder flaps remain in the same position (not affected to).
Please try that too: Increase the stick priorität or aerobatic factor to more than 100% !
You have to try something, then it works. The crow function is similar to the butterfly function on gliders.
The Assist is a good receiver, just like a normal REX!
If you deactivate the gyro, then it is a normal receiver and works fine! No problem!
