Hello,
thanks to all the Jeti crew for this discussion space.
I think that (and I see I'm not the only one) touch screen would be a real must; it could increase intuitivity and ease at programming stage; it could suppress all the "mechanical" hardware like programming buttons, freeing up some space for (a little) increase of size.
A reasonably higher resolution of the display could accomodate more useful telemetric informations; I don't believe very useful features such wifi (usually not present in flying sites) or map display during flight.
I would tightly keep the minimalistic design and the high quality craftmanship; these are like the brand signature, signs of quality. Of course commands layout on the top plate could vary. I don't personally like much the new antenna design, it seems too heavy and big.
For sailplane pilots a real must could be sticks with 3 position switches on top as a standard.
Thanks a lot
Enrico

I have one more suggestion concerning labeling of switches.
If you have many different types of models it's allways hard to remember all functions you assigned to the switches.

An overview page on the screen (connected to the model memory) where all switches are labeled could help the pilot to remember before flight.
There's one very nice example of such a page layout here in Jeti Forum:
jetiforum.de/index.php/4-jeti-sender/402...-geberbelegung-dc-16
One more reason for a higher display resolution, the actual resolution would be too low to show the whole layout. :)

Another possibility would be very small LCD Displays next to each switch. Each mini-display shows the actual function of the corresponding switch, changing with the model memory. Of cause this would be a very advanced version, demanding additional craftmanship, but it would be an eye-catcher as well as a unique characteristic among premium transmitters. The displays could be controlled by an internal 2-wire bus system.

Great ideas! I made the same suggestions with small displays - that would realy be a USP :cheer:
Your other idea with an overview screen would be a very good alternative.

Here is an example for some true innovation in RC modeling.
Seen at the Yuneec booth in Sinsheim today.
24 channels, integrated high res touch screen for FPV, controls, programming, setup etc.
Blazingly fast display (not the Weatronic legacy crap) :D
Integrated digital video link, etc etc.
By the way designed in Germany, and manufactured by Yuneec in China.
They show a working prototype, shipment is planbed for this year.
If you happen to be in Sinsheim this week have a look, Jeti.
