Hello,
For me it would be important that the connection from the stick switch is not only 1x right and 1x left possible but 2x each side – for a normal stick switch and a trigger telemetry button without removing 2 existing buttons on the surface.
rctechnik.de/Knueppelschalter-Jeti/10022.html

It would be great if there would be an introductory offer for the DC-24. It would make the decission
for me easier to switch from my almost new DC-16 to the DC-24.

Hi everyone, thank you for your feedback and your comments. The more comments and feature request, the more probability to have them included.

- HD video transmission: DJI can do it - but can they do it without latencies? Some kind of video transmission is of course a good idea.
- Large 7" screen is in contradiction with a relatively small weight of the transmitter. If you need a large display that cannot be read in the sunlight, please use your tablet. The display dimenstions aren't 100% decided yet ;-) But it has to be visible in the direct sunlight.
- Development platform for third-party companies is a good point which is being thought of.
- Android - Really? No-way.
- Touchscreen - is there really need for it? Do you look at the display during the flight?
- The physical appearence should be only an evolution of the existing Tx, the real changes should be made inside.

More discussion and opinions is appreciated.

Hi Martin,

just back from ToyFair Nürnberg with lot of nice discussions with Tomas etc. Actuel DC-24 display is really very very good in sunlight etc.

Android/Linux ...? No.. we saw other TX´s with nearly 40 seconds that display is ready.

Hi Raf,
thx for your feedback.
- The latency of the Lightbridge is ~80ms. Good enough for video shooting and FPV. On the higher end, full HD ar 60fps and <1ms latency is also available today, eg www.globe-flight.de/Globe-Flight-Amimon-...sting-live-Videofunk (just a bit more expensive :))

- My iPhone, iPad and Asus tablet displays are perfectly readable in bright sunlight. This is no longer an argument. 320x240 is yesterdays technology and would not appeal me in a transmitter at a price point beyond the DC/DS16.

- Touchscreens: I am flying my PIxhawk copter almost entirely via a tablet in the meantime using the Droidplanner app. Here is a screenshot of the UI. Works perfectly fine also in bright sunlight.

Of course this would not work for a Heli or Fixed wing model. Therefore touchscreens vs. switches is not exclusive. You will end up in a combination of both.

Lastly about Android performance - millions of smartphones and tablets work with excellent performance. If one well known RC manufacturer is incapable of developing a performant system this should not be taken as a measure of what is possible or not ;)
At the end I could not care less about the operating system inside as long as it works reliably and performant :)

A lightweight operating system exclusivly designed for one technical propose will be the better choice. I cannot see any benefit from using Android.

Higher Screenresolution? Nice to have but remember, bigger resolution will consume more power. Compaired to other products the Jeti display is great. I see no need for HD.

Touchscreen? I don't think that this will improve the usabillity.

FPV/Video support: I don't need it but it could be a great feature - sure.

My feature request is a computer software that you can programm and simulate the Tx. For complicated/big models this could be helpful.

About bigger screen/solution/touchscreen/....: Maybe it's an idea to link a Tablet with WiFi or Bluetooth as a secondary/extended screen?
You can use the Tx as usual or, if you need a bigger screen (see more options, bigger fonts, touchscreen, .......) you can use your tablet. This idea could be an alternative for the computer programming software, too. :)

Best regards,
Manuel
